I’ll be honest with you; the tutorials, tips etc on this site won’t tell you how to make >100$ per day on AdSense. And why is that, you wonder? That’s because the tips I provide on this website requires no investment at all.

However, there’s one “killer” tactics to instantly boost your AdSense earnings. Apply the tips from this site on your whole network of sites and/or blogs. I am sure it will help you boost your earnings. You know what? I’m going to stop writing this article right now and illustrate the whole thing to you:

This story is about Sam who is AdSense beginner. He has two blogs – one is about dogs, the other one is about cars.

1. Sam places AdSense on both of his blogs, but he’s not satisfied. Sam’s average daily earnings are about 70 cents. Sam wants and needs more!
2. Sam stumbles on this website. He says “Hey, check this out!” and instantly bookmarks this website (you should do it too). After spending hours and hours reading the tips & tricks on this website, Sam optimizes his AdSense. Guess what? Now his earnings are about 2$ per day, with 110 unique visitors per day – the same number of visitors he used to get!
3. Sam reads a lot on SEO, SERP, adds links to directories, writes articles etc. and guess what? In a month, his earnings jumped on 9 per day with 500 unique visitors daily!
4. But Sam hungers! He wants more. - Prepare: now comes the ultimate tip -
5. After 4 months of hard work, Sam receives his first AdSense check – 112.34$. Sam puts 100$ on his AdWords account, after he had researched AdWords optimization!
6. Unbelievably! Sam now has over 1000 unique visits daily, earns more than 20$ per day, and when he gets his 700$ monthly check, he invests 500$ in AdWords.

Anyway, I have made a small chart that illustrates what Sam did in above. This chart shows AdSense earnings and AdWords investment. Judge for yourself!

Note: all stats are estimates. The author does not guarantee you to have even similar stats to this. But I wish you all luck!

That would be it! Sam is now internet guru, and he’s applying the same methods on all his sites – present and future

OK, I know I am boring when I keep repeating this: CTR is prioro! You can serve tens of thousand impressions daily, but what’s worth of it if your CTR is low? How will you get paid? By impressions? Haha, don’t make me laugh!

Rather than describing some technique that will increase your CTR (as I’ve done so many times on this site), I will now focus on the dependencies of your CTR.

Before that, you’ll have to answer one simple question: who is clicking your ads?

That was an easy one: visitors of course! (given the fact that you are not breaking any AdSense policy)

So, the CTR depends on them. They click on it – they increase your CTR. In many cases, no matter how well you do the optimization to boost your CTR, you won’t have good one because of the audience of your site.

I’ve discovered that the lowest CTR is “made” by web masters, and people who are familiar with AdSense overall. That’s right, THIS site has low CTR. Of course, that’s because its visitors are familiar with AdSense (are you? ). The sites whose audience are middle-aged adults has the best CTR. Sometimes even more than 15%. Why? Because they don’t know AdSense are ads actually – they see it as text links wrapped in some text.

However, the only thing you can do to increase your CTR if you have “webmaster resources” based site is to make ads relevant and try a different method – make the ads visible (ie. don’t make them blend).

…in terms of PageRank™. To be honest you, I don’t find PageRank crucial thing when building your website. But Google does. And over a half of internet users around the world use Google. So, do something good for your site.

No one really knows the algorithm that Google uses when placing PageRank for some website. I have done a research myself, and I think this table might be useful for you. It shows how many “follow” inbound links your website has to has in order to get desired PageRank. Anyway, the table is self-explanatory.

If it’s unclear for you, here’s an example: You need 555 links from PR1 websites to make your site PR3. Or you need 101 links from PR3 sites to have PR4.

Note that this data may not be accurate

Right, it has been awhile since I’ve started using AdSense. I remember the days when my toppest priority used to be to reach a constant 1$-per-day AdSense.

However, recently, when I logged into my account, the first thing I saw is (of course) my today’s earnings, marked in green. I saw it, and said nothing, just went over some other sites. It was nothing unusual.

But, when I thought twice, I saw that my earnings were several times larger than my used-to-be-goal: 1$/day. But it has been so for last 2-3 months. I haven’t even noticed that I’ve reached my goal, and “over-reached” it!

It will happen to you one day, I assure you so. Just keep trying, and you won’t even notice money flowing into your AdSense account

Until recently, you could know your AdSense channel ID simply by close looking your AdSense code you got with Channel selected. But, that recently is not now. By implementing new feature, Manage Ads, Google excluded AdSense Channel ID from the source code of the ad. But, here’s the little secret on how to find out your channel ID even with this new feature enabled.

Login to your AdSense account

Create a channel which you want to find out ID later

Click on AdSense Setup then Get Ads

Click on Referrals

Put some products in

On the right, click on “Advanced” and select that specific Channel you want from drop down menu

Click on Continue

You will see that referral’s code hasn’t been updated Simply find google_ad_channel inside code and write down that number.

You know that feeling when some hot chick (handsome guy?) passes by you? You usually turn around, to check her/him out, right? Right. The same thing is with ads. In most of my previous posts, I’ve been telling you how to blend ads with content, and make them unnoticeable. Well, that can work, sometimes. Sometimes not.

Sometimes you need to do exactly opposite. Make them attractive. Make them totally NOT blending with content.

When you have to do this? You need to do this when your ads are on ignorant positions, which means everything that is cool on AdSense Heat Diagram. The most common cool position used is top right, for banner – 468×60.

What to do? Admit, the chick/guy looks nicer if she/he has some great clothes! Again, no big difference from ads. Make them colorful. Place pink color. Yellow. Cyan. Turquoise. Attract. So that they will draw visitor’s attention. That will work. Also, a must here: ads must be relevant! If they are not relevant, yet they are attractive, you’ll just earn negative reputation in your visitor’s mind. And you don’t need that.

Besides AdSense Alternatives you may even be able to open a new AdSense account! Shhh! This is forbidden! Know that this is against Program Policy, and that the author of this text (me) doesn’t take any responsibility!

1) Try to change your IP address. Register from some other computer. If you don’t have static IP address, even better!
2) Go to register for another account. Prior to that, open new e-mail address. Use new e-mail address, new name.
3) Use different house address. If possible. If not, inform google that you are a brother/just moved in on the address.
4) You may even try to… … persuade Google that he is not you. Send them an e-mail saying so. But he is you. You know what I mean…

I hope this won’t be necessary for you

..or PR. And it’s NOT Public Relations. It’s PageRank. By now, you know what Page Rank means, or you have at least heard of it. PageRank works together with Google Smart Pricing position and is meant to ranks the web site. It is scaled 0-10. 0 usually means “not ranked”, as it takes some time for web site to be ranked. The higher rank you have, the better ads will be server gaining you more revenue per click.

How to improve Page Rank in three steps?

1) Be linked. We’ve already talked about this. Swap links with as many sites as you can.
2) Use SEF. If you’ve forgotten, SEF stands for Search Engine Friendly URL.
3) Quality content. Under quality, I mean unique. I am telling this over and over and again and again to tell you how important it is! Google’s highest ranks go for quality (unique, original) content. And plenty of that content.

If you’ve done a lot on improving your Page Rank (whish is not THAT important after all) and you see no results, don’t worry – Google does not often update Page Ranks.

One of the more difficult aspects of using AdSense is keeping up to date with changes that Google likes to introduce from time to time. Most of these changes are pretty minor. That doesn’t mean that you can ignore them you will need to be aware of them. But you won’t usually have to make massive changes to your site and the way you’ve optimized your ads when Google adjusts its policy.

One change that did have a dramatic effect on publishers took place in April, 2004: Google introduced Smart Pricing. Now we’re going to explain exactly what it means…

First, let me just say that Smart Pricing was a pretty smart move, especially for advertisers. The principle is simple: before Smart Pricing, advertisers paid the price they had bid for each click their ad received on a website…regardless of whether that click resulted in a sale. The result was that some advertisers were receiving large numbers of clicks — for which they were paying large sums of money — but were seeing only a low return on that investment (ROI).

Not surprisingly, they were drifting away to other ad distributors, particularly Yahoo!, in the search for visitors who wouldn’t just click but buy too.

To improve advertisers’ ROI (and win them back from Yahoo!), Google
lowered the price of ads on sites that tend to give advertisers few sales, even if they give them large numbers of clicks.

To put it another way, the same ad can now cost different amounts when it appears on different sites. And of course, that same ad will pay publishers different amounts too.

Before Smart Pricing, publishers had focused solely on attracting as many clicks as possible. With Smart Pricing, a site with a high CTR can still earn less than a site with a low CTR.

So how does Google measure an advertiser’s conversion rate and what can publishers do to increase their conversion rates to ensure their ad rates
remain high?

This is where things get tricky. Google is playing its cards pretty close to its chest when it comes to the methods it uses to calculate Smart Pricing and even measure ROI.

What Google Has Said About Smart Pricing

This is what Google has officially told us about Smart Pricing:

The price of an ad is influenced by a number of different factors.

Those factors can include: the bid price; the quality of the a competition from other ads in the same field; the location of the ad as part of a marketing campaign; “and other advertiser fluctuations.”

The ad price is not affected by the click-through rate. Sending advertisers large numbers of clicks will not increase the bid price. (That doesn’t mean that CTR isn’t important at all for your revenues; it’s just not important in determining the amount you receive for the click.)

“Content Is King.”
Google makes it pretty clear that sites that will benefit most from
AdSense are those that “create compelling content for interested users.” They also emphasize the importance of bringing targeted traffic to look at that content. Those are two different factors which together create a site with loyal, appreciative users…Just the sort of thing that every serious webmaster wants.

What Else Do We Know About Smart Pricing?

What Google has told us about Smart Pricing isn’t much. It also raises at least as many questions as it answers: How does Google judge the quality of an ad? How can they tell the role an ad plays in a marketing campaign? What are the other “advertiser fluctuations”? And perhaps most importantly, how do they track the results of the clicks?

All of those pieces of information would be very useful to a publisher. But Google wasn’t letting on.

Fortunately, publishers caught a break. Jenstar, the author of an excellent contextual advertising blog at www.Jensense.com, (you should definitely make this site a part of your regular reading) was contacted by an advertiser who was being tempted back from Yahoo! to Google. He told Jen what the AdSense salesman had told him about Smart Pricing. She told us.

This is what it boiled down to:

Smart Pricing is calculated across an AdSense account. So if you have a number of different sites covering a range of different topics and one of them delivers a low ROI, all of your ad prices may be lowered.

Smart Pricing is evaluated weekly. If you believe that an ad is delivering a low ROI, you can remove it from your site and you should see higher ad prices within a week.

Smart pricing is tracked with a 30-day cookie. Users don’t have to convert immediately into a sale (or whatever will count as a conversion) for you to benefit. They can think about it for a month and you’ll still get the benefit.

Image ads are affected by smart pricing. Few serious publishers use image ads except when they’re receiving CPM campaigns. Was this a reference to ads in low locations receiving lower rates?

Prices may be reduced even below an advertiser’s minimum bid. So looking up the bid prices for targeted keywords won’t help you very much; if your ROI is low, your rates could be lower than the minimum quoted.

Conversions accounts are tracked by advertisers opting into AdWords Conversion Tracking. But we still don’t know what Google is tracking or how it’s making calculations with its results.

Strategies To Benefit From Smart Pricing

The challenge for publishers trying to keep their ad rates high is that there’s no way to know exactly how many of your clicks are converting into sales for your advertisers. You can’t even tell what would count as a sale for the different advertisers you’re promoting.

The best you can do is keep track of your clicks and your revenues, and make sure that they rise and fall at the same rates.

If following your stats was always important, Smart Pricing has made it absolutely vital. There’s little point in spending hours trying to increase your CTR if the value of your clicks is dropping like a rock.

When the amount of money on your AdSense account reaches 50$, you will be mailed Google PIN code at your home address provided in AdSense account tab. The Google will also e-mail you to tell you that the PIN was sent, and is due to arrive. I remember getting my PIN code…Imagine the joy! As far as I can remember, it was 6 or 8 numbers combined.

Until you input your PIN code, you will not be able to receive any payments, even if you do cross 100$ threshold.

To make sure your PIN arrives, ensure that you’ve inputted proper post address on your “My Account” tab inside AdSense account. The time necessary for the PIN to arrive varies from country to country – for example, I am in Serbia (Eastern Europe) and it took 14 days for PIN to come.

Note that you may be mailed PIN when having around 50$. It might happen if you have 45$, or even if you have 65$ (my case). Don’t worry about it
